ZLIN
When we had gone to the Czech Republic we had really wanted to visit Hana's brother in Zlin, which is south of Prague near the Slovak border. One of the highlighs we were looking forward to was the cottage her sister in-law's father had. It's a quaint little thing that is protected by law for its historical value. So the bottom floor is not to be changed or remodeled. So it has some of its old character left. The top floor and stables were "touchable" so "touch them up" he did. I wasnt able to take pictures of them but the top floor was the perfect place for Ikea to have taken a foto-shoot, and the stables were turned into a gym-sauna-jacuzzi!

Anyway, definilty a place we did not want to miss on our European excursion!

The kids with their two cousins (to the left).

Hana smelling the fresh cut tree bark that was strewn on top of the flower beds to protect the buds form the frost. The entire place smelled of freshly hewn pine--a smell we missed, living on an ocean front.

The Kitchen.

The old stone oven.

The living room.

And the front entrance.

And las but not least some pictures of the country side. It was beautiful!

I thought that Hana was kissing the holy ground after not having been there for a while! Something the pope would do! LOL
